Instabug is a bug reporting tool for mobile apps to let users instantly provide feedback (see what they did there?). By shaking the device, Instabug takes a screenshot and allows it to be annotated. Instabug then allows the screenshot and a message to be submitted along with other diagnostic information, all of which is automatically attached to the feedback.
One of the things we like about Instabug is how simple it was to integrate. Beta feeback is always valuable and Instabug has allowed testers to even capture niche bugs. The dashboard, however, is subpar with only four states of feedback. Also, notes cannot be added to a user's feedback, which I feel is a necessity for team use.
We tried the integration with our actual ticket system but it unfortunately did not work. We've put in a couple of emails to Instabug with no response to date. All in all it is a useful tool for beta testing and I look forward to seeing it evolve.
Updated May 2017: Since 2013, Instabug has grown considerably. The integrations are extensive and work well, as has the dashboard and other tools. Instabug has also listened to our feedback through the years and become an important tool in our process.
